  • When will the 57th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning be held?

    The 57th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning will be held in Orlando, Florida on January 9-13, 2023.

    Although it will be possible to attend virtually, we encourage you to join us in-person in Orlando.  On-site attendees will enjoy connecting with colleagues both old and new at social and networking events scheduled throughout the week-long Institute.  On-site attendees will also enjoy the opportunity to review the latest in technology, goods and services in our unique exhibit hall dedicated entirely to the estate planning industry.

  • What is the Registration Fee for the 57th Annual Heckerling Institute?

    Early Registration Fee is $1,100 for registrations received prior to October 1, 2022.

    Regular Registration Fee is $1,150 for registrations received on or after October 1, 2022.

    To register for the Institute, please visit our website www.law.miami.edu/heckerling. Advance online registration is required. Credit card payments only.  All credit card payments must be submitted online. 
    Note: We are unable to accept registration payment in Orlando at the Registration Desk and suggest that you register online in advance.

  • Will continuing education credit be available for the Institute?

    Yes, continuing education credit will be available. Continuing education credit will only be available for sessions attended live in-person in real-time. Virtual attendees will be required to confirm their real-time participation during each session by responding to polling questions. Attendees will not receive credit for watching video recordings of the Institute programming.  Please check the Continuing Education page for more information.

  • How do I receive access to the Institute materials?

    Approximately one week before the Institute, all registered attendees will receive a password protected link via email to access and download the Instiute materials. The username and password is unique to each attendee and may not be shared.  Institute materials will be available on the platform until February 13, 2023.

    Institute materials are copyrighted and cannot be duplicated, reused, or shared without the written consent of the Heckerling Institute.  

    Continuing education credit will only be available for sessions attended live in-person or virtually in real-time.

  • Will attendees be able to view the sessions after the live presentations?

    For your convenience, if you missed a session during the Institute week, video recordings of all sessions will be available through February 13, 2023.

    Continuing education credit will only be available for sessions attended in real-time. 

  • When is the last day I can access the platform to watch the video recordings or download Institute materials from the 57th virtual platform?

    All registered attendees will have access to the virtual platform including the program materials and video recordings through February 13, 2023

  • Can I purchase printed materials or USB Flash Drive for the Institute?

    Printed materials and USB Flash Drives will not be available.

    The Heckerling Institute provides each registered attendee with a unique username and password to access the materials online.  Attendees may download the materials and print the materials up to February 13, 2023.
